IP-Based Geo-Blocking Feature Overview
The IP-Based Geo-Blocking feature is accessible from the welcome screen of a campaign once activated in the account. It enables the display of a custom text message to users who are not eligible to view the campaign due to their geographical location, as determined by their IP address not being on the preselected list of authorized countries.
Setting Up the Feature
To utilize this feature, select the "IP-based geo-blocking option" on the campaign's welcome screen. Here, you can enter the message you wish to present to unauthorized users—essentially informing them that they cannot participate in the campaign because their location places them outside the set of authorized countries.
- Custom Message: Enter the text you wish to display to users from unauthorized countries. This message should clearly inform the users that they do not have access to the campaign based on their geographical location.
- Selecting Authorized Countries: Below the message customization field, there's an option to select countries authorized to access the campaign. There is flexibility in selecting as many countries as needed. Simply go through the list and choose the countries you wish to include.
Implementation Details
- User Access: When a participant from a non-authorized country attempts to access the campaign, the system will automatically display the predefined message based on their IP location. Consequently, these users will be restricted from participating in the campaign.
This feature is instrumental in targeting specific demographics and ensuring compliance with regional access regulations for campaign content.
