Qualifio now supports Accessibility mode for an always evolving selection of campaign formats to help you meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and build more inclusive experiences.
This FAQ explains how the toggle works, when it’s available, and what to expect when using it.
What is the Accessibility toggle?
The Accessibility toggle allows you to activate an improved, more accessible version of your campaign, built to support assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation.
When you enable the toggle:
- Your campaign switches to a new rendering system that follows accessibility best practices.
- Some complex or interactive components will be disabled or simplified to ensure compliance.
This option is currently available only for newly created campaigns in specific formats.
What happens when I toggle accessibility ON or OFF?
| Toggle State | What it does |
|---|---|
| ON | Your campaign switches to the more accessible version. Some features may become unavailable (see below). Visual indicators will show you which components are affected in the back-office. |
| OFF | The campaign returns to the standard version. All original features are available again. |
When will I see the accessibility toggle?
You will only see the accessibility toggle if:
- Your campaign is created in a format that supports accessibility mode
- The campaign is new (support for existing campaigns is coming in a future update)
If you’re working in an older campaign or using a format that doesn’t support accessibility yet, the toggle will not appear.
Which features are currently not available in Accessibility mode?
To maintain compliance and avoid breaking the user experience, some features are currently not supported in accessibility mode.
We’re actively working to expand accessibility support and reduce these limitations in future updates. You can find our Accessibility statement to see the plans of development and a timeframe to find those features accessible under Compliance > GDPR > Qualifio’s GDPR Documentation and scroll at the bottom.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I switch back to the standard version?
Yes, you can turn off accessibility mode and restore the original features. We recommend not playing with this toggle while your campaign is live and available to users as this could impact their experience with the campaign (visuals looking off, for example).
Will my campaign look different?
Yes, slightly. Some elements will be simplified or hidden to meet accessibility standards. Your custom CSS may not apply in the same way to the accessible version of the campaign. Please review it prior to publishing the campaign.
Can I still use scoring, hints, or interactive elements?
Some of these features are temporarily unavailable in accessibility mode, especially in quiz-based formats. You’ll see an indicator in the campaign builder next to unsupported components.
What if I need those features?
If a critical feature is not yet supported in accessibility mode, you can keep the toggle off. You’ll still be able to use all standard features.
Can I test my campaign with assistive technology?
Yes! Once enabled, the accessible version supports screen readers and keyboard navigation. We recommend using the preview feature to test the campaign with your tools before publishing.
