With Qualifio, you can either import your own codes or generate a new code list for gifts or discounts. In this article, we will show you how to do it.
First, navigate to the Content section in your Qualifio account and click Unique codes. From there, select Add new in the top right-hand corner.
Now, let’s create your code list! We can either import your own set of codes or generate random coupon codes for you.
Upload your coupon codes to Qualifio
Qualifio allows you to upload a list of unique codes. You can do it via .csv upload.
- List name
This is how the list will be identified in Qualifio. Choose something you’ll recognise in your Qualifio account. - Mode
Choose whether the codes grant access to a campaign or if they are distributed at the end of one. - Uses per code
If the codes grant access to a campaign, you can define if the codes can be redeemed once or an unlimited number of times. If you don’t want to allow your users to possibly use the same code twice, choose “single” use so you don’t have to worry about codes being shared. - Variable
If the codes are distributed at the end of a campaign, this is a dynamic variable that you should place where you want the code to display. - Upload a CSV
Here you can upload your file! Please be aware of the following file requirements:- A .csv file is the accepted file format
- Coupon codes must be less than 50 characters
- Coupon codes support letters, numbers, hyphens and other special characters except for "less than" (<) and "greater than" (>). Spaces cannot be used in coupon codes.
After you’ve configured all of the above settings, click Add the codes.
Create your coupon codes in Qualifio
We have good news! You can also generate a new code list with Qualifio so that each participant receives their own unique code. Here’s how it’s done.
For each list of unique codes, you can set the following properties:
- List name
This is how the list will be identified in Qualifio. Choose something you’ll recognise in your Qualifio account. - Mode
Choose whether the codes grant access to a campaign or if they are distributed at the end of one. - Uses per code
If the codes grant access to a campaign, you can define if the codes can be redeemed once or an unlimited number of times. If you don’t want to allow your users to possibly use the same code twice, choose “single” use so you don’t have to worry about codes being shared. - Variable
If the codes are distributed at the end of a campaign, this is a dynamic variable that you should place where you want the code to display. - Number of unique codes
This is the number of codes that you want to generate. The system will create the codes when the Add the codes button is clicked. This number can be as low or as high as needed – we accept up to 1.5 million unique codes per list. Generating a large number of unique codes may take up to several minutes. Note: Please ensure that there are always enough codes available for participants. - Number of characters
The number of characters to include in each code. The minimum length is 6 characters to ensure that codes are unique and not easily guessed. - Code type
Finally, decide what you want the unique code format to be. You have four choices:- Alphanumeric without confusion gives unique codes all in uppercase with no special characters and excluding I, O, 0 and 1.
- Alphanumeric gives a combination of alphabetical (A-Z, all in uppercase) and numerical characters (0-9).
- Complex gives strong unique codes, uppercase and lowercase, with special characters (dollar sign $, asterisk *, ampersand &, number sign #, at sign @, slash /, plus sign + and question mark ?).
- Numeric gives a combination of numerical characters: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
Once you click Add the codes, Qualifio will begin generating unique codes for your list. Once generated, the batch of codes is added to the Unique codes page.
Note: The editing of the code list, once in use, remains possible. To add, edit or remove coupon codes while your campaign is running, you have three choices:
- add (generate or upload a new file with more unique codes),
- replace (replace existing codes with new ones)
- or reset (including the codes previously used).
The configuration is now completed, and it’s time to add your unique codes to your campaign.
