In Qualifio, an opt-in is the mechanism used to collect a participant’s consent. When a user accepts an opt-in, they give explicit consent to receive communications such as newsletters, promotional messages, other marketing information, or for accepting the terms and conditions. Opt-ins are especially important for compliance with data protection regulations. If your campaign is connected to an email marketing platform, participants who check the opt-in can automatically be added to your mailing list. |

Creating an opt-in
Opt-ins are managed from a dedicated tab "Content", located on the left side of your screen, and can be reused across multiple campaigns. You can create as many opt-ins as needed and activate them in different forms depending on the campaign objective.
When creating one, you define:
- a language (it will only appear in campaigns using the same language),
- a name and explicit consent text,
- optionally a logo (for your brand, a sponsor or a partner).
Once activated in a campaign, the opt-in checkbox automatically appears at the end of the form for all publication channels.
Types and settings
Qualifio supports two display types:
- Checkbox: the participant actively ticks the box to accept.
-
Radio buttons: the participant must choose yes or no before continuing (unless optional).
By default, opt-ins are not pre-checked to comply with privacy regulations requiring explicit consent.
Other additional settings are available:
- make the opt-in mandatory,
- enable double opt-in confirmation by email,
- prefill the consent via SSO login,
- map the consent to a data variable for CRM or integrations.
You can also add an information pop-up (“info box”) to explain what the participant is accepting, and prioritise the display order of multiple opt-ins.

Opt-in categories
Because not all consent has the same purpose, Qualifio allows you to organise opt-ins into categories to improve reporting accuracy.
The main categories are:
- Newsletter & marketing
- Legal & regulations
- Partners
- Other
For example, a newsletter subscription differs from accepting contest rules or agreeing to share data with partners, so they must be analysed separately.
You can also create sub-categories to better structure your data and automate marketing actions based on the type of consent collected.
Assigning categories is important: otherwise opt-ins appear as “uncategorised” and statistics become difficult to interpret.

Reporting and performance tracking
Opt-ins are tracked in campaign dashboards and global statistics. You can see:
- number of accepted consents,
- conversion rates,
- performance by campaign, site or category.
These reports help identify which campaigns collect the most subscribers and optimise your data-collection strategy.
