How to prepare your Qualifio campaign for use on a shared tablet?

Are you planning to let visitors participate in your Qualifio campaign using a shared tablet during a trade show, an event or an in-store activation?

There are just a few things you'll need to configure before your event to ensure every participant has a smooth experience.

1. Create your campaign

Start by creating your campaign as you normally would.

When creating your publication channels, always add an iframe publication channel, even if you plan to publish your campaign as a minisite. This will be useful later in the process (3. Configure the exit screen)

This is important because the iframe version allows the campaign to reload correctly after each participation, and ensures that every new participant starts with a fresh campaign.

2. Choose the right participation limitation

Once you have created your campaign, and get to the general settings steps, set up the appropriate participation limits.

Because multiple people will participate from the same device, we recommend limiting participation based on the participant rather than the device itself. Avoid using the IP address limitation as all participations will be done via the same one.

For example: One participation per email address or per phone number.

3. Configure the exit screen

Once a participant has completed the campaign, you'll want the tablet to be ready for the next person.

To do this, you'll need to configure the exit screen so that it automatically redirects participants back to the start of the campaign.

  1. Go to the exit screen step of your campaign.
  2. Enable the Auto redirect option.
  3. Paste the Smart URL of your iframe publication channel into the redirection URL field.
  4. Choose how long the exit screen should remain visible before the redirection happens.

💡 Where can you find the Smart URL?
Go to the Channels step and open the iframe publication channel you created earlier. Click the code (</>) icon, then open the Smart URL tab. Copy the URL displayed there and paste it into the exit screen's redirection URL field.

4. Test your campaign

Before your event, take a few minutes to test your campaign from start to finish.

Make sure that:

  • the participation flow works as expected;
  • if your campaign includes a form, it collects the information you need;
  • the campaign returns to the start page after each participation;
  • your participation limitations work as expected.

5. Publish your campaign

Publish your campaign, using the iframe tag or the minisite link and display it on the tablet.

You're ready!

Your campaign is now ready and each participant will be able to complete the campaign, and thanks to the exit screen redirection, the next visitor can start immediately.
