Campaign creation: Everything you need to know about adding prizes to contests and instant wins

In Qualifio, prizes are what give meaning to participation. They reward users for interacting with your campaign and strongly influence engagement and completion rates. A campaign can include physical gifts, vouchers, discounts or digital rewards, and each prize is linked to a message shown to the participant.

Beyond motivation, prize configuration also determines how winners are selected. In instant win campaigns, participants immediately find out whether they have won instead of waiting for a later draw.

Instant win prize allocation methods

Qualifio offers three ways to distribute prizes in an instant win campaign:

1. Via the prize calendar
2. With the winning probabilities
3. Via a secure token based on their previous interactions with your brand.

Prize calendar

With the prize calendar, you schedule specific moments when prizes can be won. The first participant who enters the campaign after a winning time receives the prize automatically.

You first create prizes and then plan their availability in the calendar. You can distribute them:

  • randomly across the campaign duration,
  • or manually at precise dates and times.

This ensures rewards are spread throughout the campaign instead of being won at the beginning.

Importing scheduled prizes in a prize Calendar

When a campaign contains many rewards, prizes can be prepared in bulk.

You can import a scheduled prize list into the prize calendar using a CSV file. After creating the prizes and selecting the options of limited units and calendar allocation method, you download a template, edit the winning dates and re-upload it. The calendar will automatically update with the imported schedule.

This allows you to prepare campaigns in advance and control distribution precisely.

Winning probabilities

Instead of scheduling moments, you can set winning probabilities. Each prize is assigned a percentage chance of being won, and the system automatically awards prizes according to those odds.

The total probability does not need to reach 100%. For example, a 25% total chance means participants have one chance to win and three chances to lose.

100% winner campaigns

You can also create an everyone-wins contest. By setting the total winning probability to 100%, every participant receives a prize.

To ensure this works correctly, you must either:

  • provide unlimited prizes, or
  • limit participations to match the number of available prize units.

This format is commonly used to increase engagement because users are more likely to participate when they know they will receive a reward.

Using unique codes as prizes

Instead of physical rewards, prizes can be distributed as unique codes (for example coupons or promotional codes).

You upload or generate a list of codes and link it to a prize. Each winner receives one code immediately after participation, either displayed on the exit screen or sent by email.

Codes can be restricted to a single use and recorded in campaign reports, making them suitable for e-commerce promotions and fraud prevention.
